Major Nelson reveals NFL integration in the Xbox One

With the Xbox One now firmly entrenched in the marketplace, it’s time to sit back and take a long hard look at what all is included with the new gaming console. The device is not only about games, but is just as much about entertainment. Microsoft has positioned the new console as the center of your living room.

While apps like Redbox Instant and Amazon Prime aim to bring TV and movies to the forefront, sports is also a big part of the Xbox One. We’ve seen snippets of the football integration – both the real NFL and fantasy football. In fact, the two can be ‘snapped’ so that you can watch the game while also tracking your imaginary lineup.

Now, Larry Hryb, better known as Major Nelson, has released a video that shows off the most complete coverage so far. The Xbox Live chief has posted a short film that he recorded during a recent NFL matchup. The two minute clip displays how all of this works together to bring you the latest information, while also allowing you watch the game.

All of this comes with a disclaimer – “The NFL on Xbox One, including NFL.com Fantasy Football, requires advanced TV hardware, broadband Internet, Xbox Live Gold membership (sold separately) and an account on NFL.com. Additional subscriptions and/or requirements apply for some features, including NFL Red Zone. See www.xbox.com for details.”
