Lumia Storyteller gets a massive UI redesign in new update

First released as part of the Lumia 1520 launch, Storyteller is an app designed to bring your photos, cinemagraphs, and videos together to create a story worth sharing. Today, the app has received a major update that makes it even more optimized for larger displays, like the one on the Lumia 1520.

“In your timeline you can browse and modify your stories, then view and share them with friends as story videos or interactive web pages. You can also sort your photos and videos by location, add captions and create a list of favorites, and when you’re looking at a photo you can see where you took it on a map by zooming out” reads the app description.

In the new update, the app trades in the previous white theme for a darker one and shows more elements on the screen at once with smaller text sizes and image thumbnails, perfect for the 6” full-HD display on the 1520. It should also work well on smaller devices as most UI elements are large enough to comfortably tap on. Another noticeable change is the use of a 3D spinning globe under Places rather than the flat map previously used.
