Lumia 830

Not too long ago, the alleged Lumia 830 passed through Brazilian certification authority, confirming it’s existence. For those of you who still have doubts, you should know that 6,000 units of the alleged Lumia 830 have landed in India, as per a logistics tracking website Zauba which has been a great source of information about unreleased products.

The listing on Zauba clearly mentions that Lumia 830, codenamed Tesla units have landed in India for demonstration purposes, dated August 22nd, which means Microsoft may be sending in units a little ahead of its official announcement next month. The listing reveals that Lumia 830 will be available in three colors: orange, green and white — the same color options we’ve seen in the recently announced Lumia handsets as well. It doesn’t reveal any other thing the device may offer, but do lists that it comes with “Full metal touch & feel.”

As for the specifications, it will reportedly come with a 4.5-inch 720p display, and will feature a 20.7MP camera with PureView technology, as well as a microSD card slot for expansion. The alleged handset is said to be a mid-range offering from the Redmond giant, but with impressive photographic capabilities.

Microsoft has scheduled an event on September 4th where the company is expected to take the wraps of the alleged Lumia 830. It’s not just the Lumia 830, rumors suggest the company may release another selfie phone — Lumia 730 — at the event in Berlin next month. Stay tuned, we’ll update you with all the latest updates as soon as they happen.

If priced right, the Lumia 830 — if real — could be a decent mid-range device. What do you think?
