Lumia 625 first Lumia to receive a custom ROM

Custom ROMs are quite popular when it comes to Android to give users the ability to play around with their devices, remove pre-installed apps from manufacturer/carrier, add more features and lots more. However, it seems Windows Phone users may soon get the ability to flash ROMs on their handsets to expand the feature set on their devices.
The folks at have released their first ROM for Lumia 625 which is based on Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2. There are a few features added to the ROM, which may not be too exciting, but it's still a step towards modifications on Windows Phone. Furthermore, users flashing the ROM will be able remove pre-installed applications from their handset, and a few other nifty enhancements.
Currently, it's only for the Lumia 625, but there's a possibility that we may get to see in for other popular Windows Phone handsets as well. In the meantime, let us know if you want to see ROMs for the more popular Windows Phone handsets?
