Lumia 535

In the absence of any flagship handset from Microsoft, budget phones have dominated the Window Phone landscape for the last few months. Of these new devices, the Lumia 535, 532 and 435 have proven to be the most interesting, being the first devices to come bearing Microsoft’s branding, advertised as ‘Windows 10 ready’ and being sold at a highly competitive price. They are the first step in Redmond’s push to redefine itself during 2015 as a software giant reborn.

Of all the budget markets, Brazil is among the most tantalizing, boasting a large population which is constantly seeing a rise both in its income and aspirations. Information obtained from a local publication, Windows Mania, has revealed the price of the 535, 532 and 435 in this market.

The Lumia 435, the lowest end model, will come in at R$299 (roughly $110), the Lumia 532, a refresh of the 530, comes in at R$399 (roughly $150) and the Lumia 535, a strong spec upgrade from the 530, will come in at R$599 (about $230). All of these devices sport 1GB of RAM, which, along with ubiquitous front facing cameras, is becoming something of a signature from Microsoft on its budget devices. It is to be noted that these are not official prices, and as such they may change pending an official launch.

Do you live in Brazil? Will you be picking up one of these devices? Let us know in the comments below.
