Listings for the Surface Hub 2 Pen and Camera appear in the Microsoft Store

Four years after the launch of the original Surface Hub, the Surface Hub 2S will be released this year in select markets starting with the US. Microsoft announced in April that US shipments for the $8,999 digital whiteboard would start in June, but there may be a slight delay as the button for ordering a unit is currently greyed out on the store listing.

In the meantime, the well-informed WalkingCat has spotted store listings for the Surface Hub 2S Pen ($169) and 4K Camera ($219.99) on the Microsoft Store. As of this writing, both accessories can’t be purchased from the Microsoft Store

Every Surface Hub 2S purchase will include a free Surface Hub 2 Pen and Camera, but additional accessories will be sold separately. That includes the Steelcase Roam Mobile Stand and APC Charge Mobile Battery ($1,449) that can transform the Surface Hub 2S into a mobile PC with two hours of battery life. Steelcase also created a Mobile Stand and Wall Mount for enterprise customers.

The Surface Hub 2S is the first new Surface device to launch in 2019, and a new cartridge system will make it upgradable to the more powerful Surface Hub 2X launching next year. Besides the Surface Hub 2S, the Redmond giant is also expected to hold a hardware event this Fall where we could see new updates for the Surface Pro, Surface Laptop, and Surface Book family of devices.
