LinkedIn announces new instant job alerts, recruiter features as it hits 20 million job postings

LinkedIn announced today the launch of several new job and hiring features as it recently crossed 20+ million job postings last month. With LinkedIn members now applying to 25 million jobs every week, the company is now looking to help job seekers get their dream job with new instant job alerts.

LinkedIn is promising that members should now be notified almost immediately when a new job offer that corresponds to their profile is published on the website. “Job seekers who are among the first 25 applicants are up to 3X more likely to land the job and we want to make sure you see the jobs you want the minute their posted,” the company explained in a press release.

In addition to the new instant job alerts, LinkedIn announced that it has redesigned the LinkedIn Jobs homepage to make it easier to use on mobile devices, and the professional social network also made Salary Insights on Job postings is no longer a LinkedIn Premium feature.

Lastly, the company announced a couple of new hiring features today, including the launch of a new Recruiter and Jobs platform that combines LinkedIn Jobs, Recruiter, and Pipeline Builder. You can learn more about the company’s new tools for hiring managers on this separate blog post.
