Microsoft’s LinkedIn acquires marketing analytics startup Oribi

Microsoft’s LinkedIn division now has a new company under its arm. Just announced is its acquisition of the marketing analytics Startup, Oribi.

Under the deal, LinkedIn is hoping to help its customers boost their marketing strategies. LinkedIn will, as a result, integrate Oribi’s technology into its own marketing solutions platforms, and help its customers enjoy enhanced campaign attribution with tools like automated tags and code-free technology. LinkedIn also hopes in the future that Oribi’s technology will help marketers find better leads or recruiters better candidates.

The bigger part of the deal is LinkedIn opening an office in Tel Aviv, Israel. Once the deal closes, Oribi founder will join LinkedIn and will be based in this office. The monetary terms of the deal with not been disclosed, but TechCrunch reports that Oribi had raised just under $28 million in funding.
