Earlier this month, Lenovo added a number of new tablets to its product portfolio, including the Lenovo Yoga 2 Tablet with 10-inch and 8-inch models. The company is now expanding its portfolio by adding a 13-inch Yoga 2 Tablet running Windows 8.1 as its operating system pre-installed. The tablet also features the kickstand which is rotatable to adapt to different angles, and offers four modes: Hold, Tilt, Stand and Hang. The “Hold” one is simply to hold the tablet in hand, “Tilt” is where the tablet is placed at an angle for better media viewing, Stand is the normal standing mode, while the last one is where you can hang the tablet on the wall.
“As we continue to expand and refine our popular line of YOGA tablets, we’re listening to customers to give them more of what they want – from new modes like Hang to screen size to operating system,” said Jeff Meredith, vice president, Tablet Business Unit, Mobile Business Group, Lenovo. “The Lenovo new YOGA 13-in Tablet 2 Windows tablet now gives users who seek more productivity options and a larger screen size the perfect option.”
The tablet measures 324.1 x 221 x 3.7-14 mm and weighs only 2.27 lbs. There’s a 13.3-inch display sporting a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels, and is powered by a Intel Atom Processor Z3745, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with support for expandable storage of up to 64GB memory cards.
Lenovo Yoga 2 Tablet features 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro HDMI, Micro USB and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The tablet also houses a massive 12,800 mAh battery which the company claims can provide users with up to 15 hours of battery life.
The tablet will launch in November and will be available for purchase from Lenovo’s website, starting at $699.99.Further reading: Lenovo, Microsoft, Windows
