Latest Xbox One Preview build offers bug fixes

Earlier this week, the Xbox team released a new builds to members of the Preview program which included improvements to the Gamerscore Leaderboard plus the addition of the highly anticipated Clubs and Looking for Groups features. This update first rolled out to select members of the program before Microsoft finally made it available to all members yesterday.

If you have yet to install this update on your console , be warned that Microsoft also released yesterday another preview build for select members of the Preview program (via Windows Central). This latest update bumps the Xbox One system software to version rs1_xbox_rel_1608.160906-1800 and brings some fixes to Backward Compatibility, the Xbox One Store, Groove Music and more. FIXES

Groove Music:

  • When casting audio files from a Windows 10 PC to an Xbox One using “Cast to device”, Groove Music should no longer fail to launch..

MSN Weather:

  • Resolved an issue which could sometimes cause the Weather app to fail to launch.

Backward Compatiblity:

  • This build contains a fix to address stuttering and framerate issues in backward compatible games.

Xbox Universal Store:

  • Resolved an issue which could sometimes cause recently purchased content (movies, TV shows) to fail to launch.

If you’ve been selected to receive update, you can install it by going into Settings > System > Console Info & Updates.
