Late this afternoon, Microsoft released a new Xbox preview build to Preview Alpha and Skip Ahead Insiders. This new 1806 build comes with the usual fixes and bugs, but it also introduces a new Xbox Games Pass tab on the Xbox home screen in place of the Entertainment tab, which currently shows content from Microsoft Movies & TV, Netflix and other media apps.

It’s interesting to see Microsoft put Xbox Games Pass content front and center on the Xbox dashboard, right between the Community and Microsoft Store tabs. The experience is also subject to change, and Microsoft is calling on feedback from Insiders to “help evaluate and refine the experience” over time.

Today’s build also introduces fixes for apps failing to launch when the console is rebooted, and fixes for the Groups feature, localization, Store, Netflix, and video broadcasting. There are also some known issues with the online status of friends not updating correctly, the YouTube app signing users out on launch, and WiFi connectivity issues. You can check here for the full changelog and details on the changes.

Update: It looks as though that only US users will be seeing the tab for Game Pass. This is because of localization not being present for other countries.

Following the discontinuation of the Xbox Live Rewards program, Microsoft is also pushing their Microsoft Rewards program on Xbox too, and starting today the dedicated app should now be available for all Xbox Insiders in additional countries.
