Kurio Tab

If you’re in the market looking for a tablet for your child, and don’t want to spend too much cash on it, Kurio has introduced a new 2-in-1 tablet, the Kurio Smart, focused at kids (via Windows Central). The tablet comes with a detachable keyboard as well, which also acts as a hard case. The tablet carries an affordable $199.99 price tag and comes with a free one-year subscription of Office 365 and McAfee Antivirus.
Parents can also have a peace of mind and can make sure their kids aren’t watching anything inappropriate, thanks to the parental controls and web access limitations.
As far as the specifications are concerned, there’s an 8.9-inch display boasting a resolution of 1200 by 800 pixels, an Intel Baytrail-T Z3735G quad-core processor with dedicated 3D graphics chip paired with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There’s a microSD card slot included as well which supports up to 64GB of expandable memory.
Other features includes a 2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front-facing camera, a 4,900 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, and ships with Windows 8.1 as its operating system out of the box which is disappointing as Windows 10 has been available for almost two months.
