UK smartphone manufacturer Kazam has announced today that it has plans to build phones running Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system. We know that the PC version of Windows 10 will be released on July 29th but there are no concrete dates as to when Windows 10 Mobile will be out to consumers. "Later this year" is the official timeframe.

James Atkins, the co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Kazam said:

“Yes, we are already looking at Windows 10 for phones.”

In an interview with TrustedReviews Atkins outlined that “we have a lot of Windows Phones and it is a very important partnership for us.” This indicates that the company has a good relationship with Microsoft and will continue to produce phones based on the software giant's operating systems, something that seems less apparent from bigger OEMs like Samsung and HTC.

As Windows 10 is on a staggered release cycle it is unclear when we will see new Kazam Windows phones enter the market. One would suggest that Windows 10 mobile will be available some time before the holiday season to maximize phone sales.
