In July, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download four games for free including two Xbox 360 games and two Xbox One games as part of Xbox’s Games with Gold. Xbox’s Major Nelson shared that Games with Gold will include two Xbox One games every month moving forward.
The two games for Xbox One are Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag which usually retails at $29.99 and So Many Me which usually cots $14.99. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be free for Gold members throughout all of July while So Many Me will be free for Gold members from July 16th through August 15th.
On the Xbox 360, Plants vs. Zombies will be free for Gold members from July 1st through July 15th while Gears of War 3 will be free for Gold members from July 16th through July 31st. Plants vs. Zombies usually costs $14.99 while Gears of War 3 retails at $19.99.
Games with Gold is a great deal for fans of the Xbox and has an added value thanks to the announced Xbox 360 backwards compatibility for the Xbox One. Gamers could hoard Xbox 360 games and then once they become available on the Xbox One play them on the latest console.
