A Journey’s End, the final Minecraft Story Mode episode to roll out on September 13th

Posted in:

Episode Seven was just released last month for Windows 10 and already Telltale has another episode ready to release for Minecraft Story Mode. On September 13, Episode Eight will be available for PC, Mac and consoles. The story continues the characters of the main story as they explore a new world in Episode 8: Journey’s End.

The description from the announcement post shares more information:

Having survived supernatural storms, maniacs in mansions, malevolent intelligence and more, Jesse’s crew have one last and potentially lethal trial before they can find their way back through the Portal Corridor. In their haste to obtain the Atlas, our heroes find themselves stumbling into the midst of a deadly tournament, in which people are forced to Spleef for their very lives, or else find themselves cracking quartz in the mines.

What strange rules define The Games? Who are the mysterious trio who run them? Will Jesse and co even make it to the finish line alive?

It seems Jesse and the crew will be in some hot water for their last adventure. Not to mention the Spleef tournament in game coincides with the recent announcement of Minecraft Tumble being added to the list of multiplayer minigames for consoles. For those that don’t know, Spleef is a game of tiers in which you compete to destroy blocks beneath your opponents or knock them off so that they can fall into the fiery pit below.

This installment will be the finale for the Adventure Pass DLC. Episodes six through eight are a continuation of the characters after the events of the main storyline in Minecraft: Story Mode. They can be purchased individually for a minimal $4.99 price tag or combined for the logical $14.99 purchase.
