Mojang is set to announce the next major update to the game, so it’s definitely something that any fellow Minecrafter won’t want to miss out. And even if you’re not watching to see what’s new, the show is going to feature a ton of games and fun to enjoy.
Last year’s event, dubbed Minecon Earth, introduced the Village & Pillage update that was released earlier this year and introduced a number of new features including scaffolding, Pillagers, and more. We also got to see the introduction of Minecraft: Dungeons, a dungeon-crawler game that will feature four-person multiplayer on Windows, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch due for release next year.
Mojang has opted the name Minecon Live as the name of these year’s event, to help avoid confusing the name with the upcoming Minecraft Earth game that’s currently in closed beta. Perhaps we’ll get more on the game that’s still under development on this during the livestream.
