iOS and Android Edge browser apps get direct Microsoft Rewards integration

Brad Stephenson

The Android and iOS Microsoft Edge apps both updated this week with a change that added Microsoft Rewards directly into the browser’s UI.

Now, when users tap the ellipsis in the lower-right corner of the app, they’ll be able to see their Microsoft Rewards points balance right at the top of the pop-up menu under their username. Tapping on the points will also open a fullscreen pane displaying all of their progress and daily tasks.

Here’s the full release notes:

Thanks for using Microsoft Edge! We’re listening to your feedback and updating the app regularly to bring you the best browsing experience across your devices.

Search on Microsoft Edge and earn Microsoft Rewards points! Then, track your points on the Microsoft Rewards dashboard on Microsoft Edge.

This release also includes general bug fixes and performance improvements.

Microsoft Rewards is Microsoft’s, well, rewards program that lets users earn points for buying apps, movies, hardware, and video games in addition to completing quick online tasks and taking quizzes. Points earned can be redeemed for a variety of gift cards for the Microsoft Store, Xbox One, and a variety of online stores.
