India's Punjab state government partners with Microsoft for cloud computing, mobile solutions

As you very much well know, Microsoft's CEO Satya Nadella recently visited India for a list of meetings and discussions pertaining to the IT advances for the country. A new report out by the Times of India is now indicating that India's Punjab state government has signed a memorandum of understanding with Microsoft India for cloud computing and mobile solutions.

As part of the memorandum of understanding, Microsoft India will be working with the Punjab government to support the development of mobile based solutions. Microsoft India will also help support the use of machine learning to help solve challenges in the fields of education, agriculture and healthcare. Manpower is also included in the memorandum of understanding, as Times of India reports that Microsoft will train man power in advanced IT technology.
