Premium sound from mobile devices can be nearly impossible due to the size restrictions on speakers. Instead of going at it alone, HP will be teaming up with Bang & Olufsen to bring great sound quality to their devices. HP devices will be specially designed to prevent any signal distortion which would degrade the sound quality. Previously HP partnered with Beats to bring quality sound engineering to their products, and with Apple buying Beats, HP needed a new partner.
High fidelity headphones or sounds systems can be rendered useless if devices don’t deliver clean signals to their audio jack. With new HP devices available this spring, special attention will be spent on the sound processing chips on the motherboards to keep the signal clean and high quality. The audio jacks on these devices will also be designed to reduce outside noise from affecting the signal going to the headphones. HP also touts special software mixing program will come preloaded and allow users to customize their sound. Standing out can be difficult for PC OEMs to do, but HP looks to be going after premium audio to make their devices special.Further reading: Apple, HP, Microsoft
