A lot of people are anxiously waiting for the Lumia Cyan update to arrive for their Windows Phone handsets. If you’re one of those people, here are two ways to track it down. Basically, availability of the Cyan update varies, depending on your region and your operator.
If you want to track it manually, visit Nokia’s Software Update page, and click on ‘Nokia Lumia with Windows Phone 8’. From there, select your region (Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, Middle East or North America). After selecting, locate your phone under product and carrier and you’ll be shown the availability. Here’s what it looks like:
However, if you don’t want to go through all that, simply download the ‘Cyan Update app’. It’s a simple, free app for Windows Phone that helps you to find the availability of the Lumia Cyan software update for your Lumia device.
It features Live tiles (get information about the update on the Live Tiles even without opening the app), automatically shows the update information for your Lumia device, and gives you the ability to check update information for all Lumia devices for all regions.
Grab the app via the download link below. It’s free.
