A couple of new features have rolled out to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap this week. Let’s dive in and have a look.

First up is the Language Interpretation in Microsoft Teams tagged 87547 in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap which will now allow professional language interpreters to translate what is said in meetings to another language in real-time. What’s more, all this will be possible without interrupting the speaker’s flow. This move promotes inclusivity as all the meeting participants will be able to understand and contribute effectively. As we speak, the feature is in public preview and is expected to reach general availability by mid-October, though it was previously set for August.

Next up is the added ability to View Video Recordings and Attendance Reports Inside LMS in Teams tagged 96402 in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap. Through the Microsoft Teams Meeting LTI app, users will now be able to access both video recordings and attendance reports directly inside their LMS.

The feature is accessible in all of the LMS’ that are incorporating the Teams Meeting LTI app. and is expected to reach general availability towards the end of November. Not forgetting that you will also be able to react to chat or channel messages with any emoji and pop out the scheduling form as a separate window in Teams soon.

And finally, Microsott is retiring their support for ‘My activity’ in Teams mobile Activity App. This means that you no longer be able to view activities that you have initiated only those that are directed to you. This change is expected to take full effect by early November.
