Halo: The Master Chief Collection gets new Modern Aiming feature in latest update

Laurent Giret

The January update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection is now available on Xbox One, brining a new “modern aiming” option, additionnal skulls to Halo: CE, playlist updates, and several bug fixes. If you felt that aim acceleration in these remastered Halo games never felt completely “right,” this new “modern aiming feature should address that and it will be turned on by default in the older titles.

“The “modern aiming” option helps to smooth out the aim acceleration zones on your controller by using values that are more like H2A and H4 than the older legacy titles,” the blog post reads. “The big difference you will notice is that the movement of your cursor is much smoother with these settings turned on and the aim acceleration zones in the diagonals are much harder to activate.”

Moreover, the developers are also working on an IP masking feature and a new Post Game Carnage Report.
