Halo 5: Guardian goes Gold, ready for October 27th release

343 Industries Executive Producer Josh Holmes has taken to the Xbox Wire blog today to announce the gold-going of Halo 5: Guardians.
For those familiar, “going gold” is a term referring to when a game has finished production and is ready for distribution, harkening back to the days of golden CD-R discs. In the case of Halo 5: Guardian, the game is ready for release on October 27 physically, with a multiplayer content update coming before (good tip from the blog post for Xbox One owners: leave your Power Settings to “Instant On” to download it immediately and be ready for launch day.) The digital version will come a week after.
Halo 5: Guardians will deliver a multi-character single player campaign and a massive multiplayer experience with the new 12v12 Warzone mode. With the team also promising monthly release of new content, Halo 5 is setting up to propel the franchise to new heights and be an enduring hit for months to come.
