Halo 3 is coming to Halo: MCC on PC on July 14

Halo 3 is the next Halo game to join Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC this month, and it will be available on the Windows 10 Microsoft Store and Steam on July 14. The game will follow the PC release of Halo 2: Anniversary on May 12, and it will be free with Xbox Game Pass for PC.

For those unfamiliar, Halo 3 was Bungie’s first Halo game to be released on the Xbox 360 back in 2007, and it has remained a fan favorite. The game offers a conclusion to the trilogy that started with Halo: Combat Evolved on the original Xbox back in 2001, and for many Halo fans, it remains the last great Halo game Bungie ever released.

Once Halo 3 is available, Halo: MCC on PC will still lack two more games to be complete: The spin-off Halo 3: ODST is expected to be released on PC this summer, while the PC port of Halo 4 is expected for later this year. It remains to be seen if 343 Industries will be done with Halo: MCC on PC before the release of Halo: Infinite this holiday season, but we should learn more about the latter during Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase on July 23.
