GroupMe comes to Windows 10 PCs

Microsoft’s Skype hub app GroupMe is now available on Windows 10 PCs. This availability means that you now can stay in touch with friends and family more quickly and easily straight from your Windows 10 device.

The developers make note that the Windows 10 app includes all the features you love, so you can goof off with your friends, check in to see what everyone is up to, and make plans to hang out right from your desktop. Here’s the full description of the app as seen on the Windows Store:

  • Organize a night out, keep in touch with friends and family, plan your events, or coordinate with coworkers — all in the same place. GroupMe works on Windows, iOS, Android, and the web, so you can stay in touch on the go. Even your friends without smartphones can join – add anyone from your phone book and they can jump right in and chat with the group.
  • It’s simple to add anyone to a group using their phone number or their email address. If they’re new to GroupMe, there’s no need to download right away — they can start chatting over SMS immediately.
  • View your groups right in the People app, and you can reply to messages fast with interactive notifications. Share photos and links with your groups from other apps.
  • Choose when and what type of notifications you receive. @Mentions help you find messages specifically for you, and you can mute or snooze a chat if it gets too noisy.
  • Meme images, find and share GIFs and videos, all right from GroupMe. Go ahead – fall in love with our exclusive emoji.
  • Create and share events with your groups. See who’s coming and who has liked your messages.
  • It doesn’t matter if you’re on a computer, at home or out and about — you can stay in touch easily on smartphone or tablet. Whether you’re in class or at the office, GroupMe lets you stay in touch with your favorite people and makes sure you never miss a thing.
