The Groove Music app updated to version 3.6.2381 for those in the Xbox Preview Program yesterday. This updated added and improved a variety of the app’s features such as Your Groove and Explore.
To coincide with the app update, The Groove Music Team wrote a post about the update’s changes on the official Groove Music blog and among the usual release notes was a casual mention about a plan to bring music videos back to Groove Music.
Here’s the passage of note: You’ll also find Your Groove, a rich Explore experience, and all the other things you’ve previously come to love about Groove on Windows devices. The new universal app doesn’t have music videos just yet. We know how much you love videos and will bring them back as soon as we can.
It’s unclear why music videos were ever removed in the first place. The most likely reason being that the app’s ability to stream audio properly would take priority over other features in an app update. Are you looking forward to the return of music videos in Groove Music? Are there any other features you think should be added?
