Earlier today, Google used a tongue and cheek piece of marketing material to show off its Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2 designs, following the self-imposed leak, the company marked October 4, 2023, as the date to fully highlight its hardware.

Google plans to livestream on YouTube the October 4th event from a spot in New York City at 10 a.m. ET with viewers expected to see details on the Pixel 8, the Pixel Watch 2, and maybe follow ups to the Pixel Buds, Buds Pro, and a software overhaul of Google Fit that incorporates more of the Fitbit design from its 2019 acquisition.

Previous Pixel 8 leaks have hinted towards a evolution of the camera bar on the back of the phone as well as additional color options that will include a warm porcelain white, Obsidian black, and a blue selection.

Google’s October 4, 2023, date rounds out the late Summer/ early Fall hardware events with Microsoft scheduling a Surface event for September 21, 2023, and Apple set for September 12, 2023.
