Several exciting new Windows laptops and tablets have been showcased at the ongoing Computex event. The Taiwan-based technology company, Gigabyte, has added two more to the list. One of which is a Windows 8.1-powered gaming laptop which claims to be the world’s “most powerful and lightest” in the category. Both the variants offer easy upgrade options.
Gigabyte showcased two new laptops in its Aorus X3 lineup. The larger one sports a 13.9-inch screen, and lets you choose between a QHD (2,560×1,440) panel and a QHD+ (3,200×1,800) version. Whereas, the smaller X3 laptop sports a QHD panel (2,560 x 1,440) LCD. In terms of the weight, the laptops are one of the lightest in the category.
Both the laptops come with powerful Intel Core i7-4710HQ (2.5-3.5GHz) processors, coupled with 8 gigs of DDR3L-1600 RAM (and there’s a spare slot as well). On the graphics front, it comes with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M with 6GB of GDDR5 memory. To keep the computers racing, the traditional hard-drive has been swapped with SSDs. Gigabyte is offering 256GB and 512GB of space. Interestingly, that is upgradable too, since the SSD is configured in RAID 0.
Gamers will appreciate the macro keys, and the laptops are no slouches at the connectivity front either. Want to get your hands on these powerful gaming laptops? Both the variants – X3 and X3 Plus will be launched in the 3rd Quarter, and their price range begins from $2,099.Further reading: Gaming, Gigabyte, Windows 8.1
