Microsoft has just released its most affordable Surface ever, the Surface Go, but the more powerful Surface Pro is also on sale today at B&H (via 9to5Toys). Indeed, BH has a very good deal on the base Core i5 model with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which you can buy for just $699 today ($300 off). That makes this model even cheaper than the base model with a Core m3 processor.
The current Surface Pro is no longer top of the line in 2018, but it’s still an excellent 2-in-1 device with its 12.3″ PixelSense 10-point touch display, built-in kickstand and increased battery life (50% longer than Surface Pro 4 according to Microsoft). It doesn’t have a USB-C port like on the Surface Book 2 or the brand new Surface Go, but that shouldn’t be a big issue for most consumers. As for the 4GB of RAM, it’s true that it can be limiting in certain circumstances, but you shouldn’t have any slowdowns when browsing the web, watching videos and doing normal consumer things.
Do you still think the 2017 Surface Pro is still worth buying right now, or would you rather wait for a revision with 8th gen Intel Core processors and USB-C? Let us know below.
