If you had your eyes on the Nokia Lumia 1020, there has never been a better time to go grab one for yourself. The price has been slashed to $339 off-contract, and only $49 on a two year deal with AT&T.
The Lumia 1020 runs Windows Phone 8 (8.1 ready) on top of Qualcomm’s dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor. It comes with 2GB RAM, 32GB of storage (only option), and a 4.5 inch ClearBlack display with 1280 x 768 screen resolution and 334 ppi. It is powered by a non-removable 2000 mAh battery. However, the crown jewel of this phone is the 41-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss lens and Xenon flash (not the inferior LED you see on most – even the 1520).
This is a pretty nice deal for an off-contract phone. Comparatively, Google’s Nexus 5 starts at $349, the new Moto X starts at $499, and the Moto G costs $179.
All that aside, whether you should purchase a 1020 is actually an easy choice. If you like Windows Phone and want the best camera you can get on a phone, the Nokia Lumia 1020 is the obvious answer
