Gears of War 5 is scheduled for release in September this year. The gaming community is really excited about this game and are eagerly waiting for its release.
The good news is that The Coalition decided to offer fans a sneak peek at the new game. A group of handpicked players got the chance to join the test drive.
TC released the test version of GoW 5 for both Xbox One and Windows platforms. The official blog post reads:
Included with your Xbox Game Pass membership or as part of your Gears 5 pre-order (whether as a separate 5×5 code from a participating retailer or bundled in your digital pre-order), the Tech Test will be available to download starting July 17.
In other words, you can get a chance to enjoy all the new features during the beta testing phase. Gears of War 5 brings three multiplayer modes dubbed the King of the Hill, Escalation, and the Arcade. Moreover, you will also see some new maps as well.
You can unlock some exciting rewards such as a banner and exclusive weapon skins by completing the beta tech test. These rewards will be available into the full version of the game.
How to enroll in Gears 5 beta?
The opportunity to participate in the Gears 5 beta tech test is provided to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
However, if you are not an active subscriber, you can still pre-order the game to redeem the code.
If you are an active Game Pass subscriber, you can use the Game Pass library to download the game. It is also available through Windows Store.
Test duration
The Coalition announced that beta testing for Gears of War 5 would be done in two rounds. The first round is scheduled to take place from July 19 to 22.
The second round will take place from July 26 to July 29. These tests will start at 10 am PT and end at 1 pm/6 pm.
The developer also listed the system requirements for the game. Needless to say, your device should meet these requirements in order to download and play Gears of War 5 without any issues.
This means that you should make sure your system meets all the requirements. The complete technical details are available on the official web page.
Those who don’t get the chance to play the game this month may need to wait a few more weeks. The official release of Gears of 5 is scheduled on September 10.
