Games are a major focus of Microsoft this year when it comes to Xbox One. They may have shown off some great new features at E3 but the phrase “greatest games lineup in Xbox history” has been said multiple times and is a major focus of Microsoft. That sentiment  is reiterated by Xbox’s Major Nelson in a post about the upcoming gamescom in Cologne Germany, which is one of the largest video game trade shows. The show is in August this year and gives attendees an up close and personal look at Xbox’s lineup of upcoming games.

On August 4, which is the day before gamescom officially starts, an Xbox briefing will show off Scalebound, Quantum Break, Crackdown and other titles for the Xbox One. Then once the event starts those in attendance will get a hands-on with Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsport6, Rise of the Tomb Raider and other titles.

There will also be the “same up-close-and-personal fan experience” that there was at Xbox Fanfest at E3 for a group of select fans. There are more details on the way about the fanfest-like expierience but it will run from August 4- August 5. Here’s the rest of the schedule for gamescom as outlined by Major Nelson:

The briefing, including the latest news and game trailers and demos, can be watched on Xbox One, Xbox.com, Xbox 360, and Windows Phone. There’s also a free Xbox Live Event interactive app that is available on Xbox One (XLEi app) and on Xbox 360 (XLE).
