Future Microsoft Store locations revealed, did your city make the list?

For those that don’t know, a typical Microsoft Store provides a showcase for the company’s latest Windows Phone 8 handsets, Windows 8.1 devices, the Xbox One, Office 365, and much more. Microsoft provides a first-look at new products, offers midnight product launches, and even hands-on workshops at these retail stores.

Microsoft currently has 83 retail and specialty stores in the United States and Canada, and it appears that Microsoft has several new locations in mind for future stores. Spotted by the folks over at Neowin, Microsoft is apparently looking to hire employees for the following locations, which currently do not have a Microsoft Store:

  • Knoxville, Tennessee
  • Baton Rouge, Louisiana
  • Lexington, Kentucky
  • Tucson, Arizona
  • Boise, Idaho
  • Des Moines, Iowa
  • Columbia, Maryland
  • Omaha, Nebraska
  • Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
  • Thousand Oaks, California
  • Brea, California
  • Alpharetta, Georgia

It appears that these locations might just see a brand new Microsoft Store in the near future. Microsoft has yet to officially make any announcement about a Microsoft Store opening up in any of these cities, but based on what we are seeing on the Microsoft Career’s website, the devices and services giant is gearing up for it.
