Free trial of Rise of the Tomb Raider added on Xbox One

Rise of the Tomb Raider is one of Xbox One’s big exclusives this year that provides some much needed ammo, alongside Halo 5, in the fierce competition against rival Playstation 4. Now, Xbox One owners who haven’t bought the game can get a taste of the new Tomb Raider experience through a free trial available on the Xbox Store. The news was broken on Reddit and reported by Neowin.
Specifically, according to confirmation from several Redditors, the free trial lets you finish the first tomb of the game, completing 2% of the game, which translates to roughly 30 minutes of gameplay. Progress from the trial will be carried over to the full game if you decide it’s worth your money. The full version of the game may also come on sale soon as part of the big holiday sale, so this is a good chance to try it out and see if some tomb exploring is in order this holiday season.

Developed by Crystal Dynamics, Rise of the Tomb Raider is the latest entry in the Tomb Raider series, and a timed exclusive for the Xbox One. The game features an exciting story, new open-world-like gameplay, expansive and beautiful environments to explore in various ways, and many more improvements. Head to the Xbox One store to purchase the game, or to try it out free.
