Foursquare Beta gets a major UI redesign for Windows Phone

Foursquare Beta gets a UI redesign for Windows Phone

Foursquare Beta for Windows Phone has gotten a facelift and new design to improve its user experience. However, Facebook signup/login is still not working at this time. While this is a beta, mobile beta apps are generally stable and if you are looking for the newest features, we recommend giving the beta a chance (download links below). It is promising to see a major app such as Foursquare increasingly attempt to bring its Windows Phone experience up to par with Android and iOS.

If you are unfamiliar with Foursquare, the service is comprised of two mobile apps: Foursquare and Swarm. Foursquare is a smarter Yelp that recommends places based on your tastes, ratings, and the friends and experts you trust. The app promises a much smarter local search than its competitors.

Swarm houses the check-in functionality that used to be included in Foursquare. You can check in to locations, and it aims to be the “fastest and easiest way to keep up and meet up with friends.”
