Forza Horizon 5 has surpassed 20 million players

Xbox Game Studio's smash-hit open-world racer Forza Horizon 5 has now surpassed 20 million players according to VG Chartz. This number comes from the in-game leaderboards section, and it comes scarcely half a year following the game's November 4, 2021 release.

What is equally impressive is that the game reached half of that number in its first week alone, garnering over 10 million players in the first week of its launch and making it the biggest game launch in the history of Xbox Game Studio's and Xbox Game Pass. It surpassed its most recent predecessor, Forza Horizon 4, by three times the number of players on both games' respective launch days.

The game reached 18 million players by January, and it now joins another Xbox Studio's Game, Halo Infinite, to surpass the 20 million player mark.
