Forza Horizon 4 video game on Xbox One

Forza Horizon 4 is set to have plenty of cool features like changing seasons and a shared open world, but the developer also has a little something extra planned for players. Indeed, according to a report from ArsTechnica, Forza Horizon 4 will apparently reward gamers for streaming on Mixer.

It is not clear which types of rewards will be distributed for streaming Horizon 4, but Playground Games art director Benjamin Penrose tells ArsTechnia that it will unlock “progress” outside of races. He didn’t provide any details beyond this and didn’t explain if the same system will apply to streaming on Twitch. He instead reminded the publication that gamers progress in Horizon 4 “just by painting, or tuning, or streaming your gameplay on Mixer.”

This would be the first Xbox One game which would reward gamers for streaming on Mixer. Since Mixer is integrated into Xbox One, it will be interesting to see how this impacts the streaming service’s market share. As of two weeks ago, Mixer reported that it doubled its viewership, crossing the 20 million user mark.
