If you’re looking for a free game for your Xbox One, you might want to go ahead and search for the Borderlands collection in the Xbox Store. The Borderlands Collection is currently listed as a free title on the store, but perhaps for a limited time only.

News on the title going free was first spotted in this Reddit post, which has since quickly gained traction with over 1342 comments and 6,557 upvotes. It’s not exactly clear, however, as to why this title has gone free, but according to comments in the Reddit thread, it appears that the free offer is available for all Xbox live owners, regardless of Gold status.

According to EuroGamer, Microsoft has yet to comment on this or announce any official deals in regards to Borderlands. It is, though, quite common for titles to go free for weekends, such as when Forza 6 went free for Gold members only.

Update: Microsoft has just released a new YouTube video announcing a free All Access Weekend, and with it the free Borderlands download:

So if you’re looking for a free game, and want to try out Multiplayer this weekend, you’re in luck!
