The Rugby School in the UK, the birthplace of Rugby football, is depending on the the power of Microsoft Surface. Noted by AVInteractive.com, the school is getting creative with 30 Microsoft Surface Studios.
The independent boarding school with 813 students is using Surface Studio to empower creativity in students and help them create beautiful art. Several of these students are featured in the Microsoft ad, discussing the benefits of Surface Studio. Hear it and watch it for yourself in the video below.
Students are apparently able to meet deadline faster and create content at a faster rate. Perhaps the most interesting comment on the entire video, though, comes from Amy Farrelly, a Photography and Lens-based Media teacher at the Rugby School.
I was a Mac user for 20 years and I have to say I am actually converted. This is something I never thought I would say, but the level of intense colors, and the avaialbility to work zooming in and close up and to airbrush is abolutley phenomenal…. before we were limited, and what we could produce, and now we could just create.
The school’s IT director Andrew Waples also makes an appearance in the video saying he wishes he could buy another 30 Surface Studio devices. “It has made that much difference in the design department, and it has made that much difference from an IT technical point of view,” noted Waples.
