Fall Guys gets 50 million players in 2 weeks after switching to free-to-play model

You may remember that we reported on the release of Fall Guys on Xbox and Nintendo Switch a few weeks ago. This was accompanied by a transition to a free-to-play model for the platform battle-royale game.

Fast forward two weeks later and Fall Guys has now seen over 50 million players take to its obstacle-ridden levels. That is quite a staggering number, and one for which the game’s creators at Mediatonic and Devolver Digital are most thankful. They took to the game’s official Twitter account to thank the 50 million who have played the game over the last two weeks while expressing their disbelief.

More than 20 million of those players were during the first two days of the game’s launch. While many visited the game for the several crossover skins featured (such as the Halo content we covered last week) there are no doubt many new converts who’ll be sticking around in Fall Guys for its zany and chaotic battle-royale gameplay.

Are you one of them? If so, what do you think of Fall Guys? Let us know in the comments.
