Facebook Beta update asks some users to uninstall app, install official version

WindowsCentral has been tipped off that some users are being prompted to uninstall the Facebook Beta app on Windows 10 Mobile. According to the article, the app declares that it is out of date after updating to the latest version.

The official Facebook app actually only released a week ago given the official for Windows 10 PC. Microsoft has even told WinBeta that Windows 10 Mobile will be receiving a Messenger app at a later date. So it’s possible that Microsoft is simply ending the beta process for the Facebook Beta app, opting for a more direct release method.

What does this spell out for Facebook’s Beta app? Comment and let us know if you’re experiencing the ‘outdated’ prompt.
