Rockstar Games has announced that the open-world crime saga that is the Grand Theft Auto V (GTAV) will soon arrive on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4. The game was currently only available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Porting this to high end consoles, Rockstar says that the new platforms will “take full advantage” of the more powerful hardware. Furthermore, all your old characters and game progress that you made in Grand Theft Auto Online on the PS3 or Xbox 360 will be pushed over to the next-gen equivalents.
Grand Theft Auto V broke 6 world records last year, including become the fastest entertainment property to generate $1 billion revenue. “The biggest, most dynamic and most diverse open world ever created, Grand Theft Auto V blends storytelling and gameplay in new ways as players repeatedly jump in and out of the lives of the game’s three lead characters, playing all sides of the game’s interwoven story,” the game description reads.Further reading: E3 2014, PC, Xbox One
