ESPN dropping Windows phone support for their fantasy football app

In an email sent out to users, ESPN has announced that it will be dropping support for the Windows phone version of their fantasy football app:

Seen above, the email was first posted by Reddit user CAVX, and is perhaps another hard hit for Windows phone fans who have been using the app since it had launched back in 2013. As has been the theme, the email rather redirects users of the app to use the website version of ESPN Fantasy Football and warns that the app will be discontinued on September 21st, 2016.

ESPN Fantasy Football is just the latest Windows Phone app which has been discontinued. The New York Times recently discontinued support for their Windows 10 and Windows 8 apps as well. Regardless, we want to know what you think of this discontinuation of the app. Do you think it is bad for the future of Windows phones? Drop us a comment with your thoughts below!
