The Edge Insider Canary Channel is a platform that Microsoft uses to test out updates as well as features before they reach general availability, for instance, August’s Edge Canary update featured a more consistent dark mode.

Updates are usually made to the Canary Channel on a daily basis which often features hidden capabilities that require the user to dive into to discover. However, at times the platform is susceptible to bugs as well as instabilities which is why developers take time and use the feedback they receive from the Insiders to improve on these issues before releasing the updates and features to a broader audience.

And now, Microsoft has announced that Edge Canary Insiders will receive up to two new builds per day. Though, Microsoft has further indicated that they will not roll out two updates every day.

Getting our newest code out to Insiders even quicker will allow us to take advantage of the great rapid feedback we get from you every single day.

These updates will be made automatically whenever you close your browser, though Microsoft has highlighted that it is fine for users to continue using older versions.
