In an effort to redeem itself over Star Wars: Battlefront, EA is listening to its fans when it comes to requests for changes in Star Wars Battlefront 2. As noted by Eurogamer.net, EA will be making changes to loot crates after hearing feedback from gamers in the Battlefront 2 open beta multiplayer test.
EA will be making a minimal change to the loot crates in Battlefront 2, focusing more on rewards that will be earned through actual gameplay and fewer instant reward loot crates. For example, epic Star Cards, the highest level of Star Card rewards, will be completely removed from loot crates.
Epic Star Cards will still be available in crafting, but crafting will be level restricted going forward. According to a statement by EA, there are specific bonuses available when you use loot crates and weapons will be unlocked at certain classes from now on:
“You won’t be able to buy a bunch of crates, grind everything up into crafting materials and immediately use them to get super powerful Star Cards. Want to unlock a new weapon for your Heavy? Play as a Heavy and you’ll gain access to the class’s new weapons. This system, as well as all of the others, will be continually iterated on and improved.”
It will be interesting to see the loot crate changes when Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is released on November 17, 2017 for Xbox One. You can see for yourself by pre-ordering Star Wars Battlefront 2 from the Microsoft Store.
