E3 returns to in person event in LA in 2023 via partnership with the folks who host New York Comic Con

It has been known since June that the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) will return as an in-person event in 2023, but we now finally know the details as to what to expect. This is all thanks to the parent company of the expo, ESA, which announced on Twitter that they've partnered with ReedPop (which runs New York Comic Con) to be responsible for the biggest video game event.

With ReedPop behind it, E3 2023 will be held in Los Angeles, California, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, timed for the second week of June. That means both in-person showcases, as well as digital showcases. Media, meanwhile, will be invited to register to attend later this year.

"We are thrilled to bring back E3 as an in-person event with ReedPop, a global leader in producing pop culture events," said ESA president and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis.

There's no word yet if any of the major players in the video game industry will plan to attend this in-person E3 event. Microsoft hasn't attended in a while, instead doing its own Xbox Games showcase via a live stream. The same also applies to Sony and Nintendo.
