Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved video game on Xbox One

The Xbox One video game, Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved, has been removed from the digital storefront on Microsoft’s Xbox One consoles.

Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved was a music creation video game that let players compose their own mixes of modern and classical music by using their hands via the Kinect sensor. With Microsoft’s recent decision to move away from the Kinect and the newer Xbox One S and Xbox One X consoles not supporting native Kinect functionality, sales of this Kinect-only video game likely slowed and this could explain why Harmonix, the studio behind it, decided to take it down.

Digital versions of video games are occasionally removed from online storefronts, often due to the expiration of rights. This could also be a potential reason for Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved being removed. No official announcement has been made.

Those who already have Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved installed on their Xbox One consoles will still be able to play it however it will now be impossible to re-download it if it’s ever uninstalled.
