Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra and Jason Beaumont confirmed on Twitter that the ability to directly share Xbox One video game clips on the social network would soon be coming to Xbox One consoles.

Currently, Xbox One users can send a tweet from the console with a link to a video clip hosted on Microsoft’s servers (similar to tweeting a YouTube video) but this new method will actually upload the saved video clip to Twitter itself. Numerous other services can already do this so it’s good that this ability is finally being added.

Ybarra stated that this sharing functionality will be coming to Xbox Insiders in Preview soon and will roll out to all users over the coming months.
