Developers: You can now have your Windows and Windows Phone app payments sent directly to your PayPal

Last August, Microsoft revealed that PayPal was available in 41 different markets as a payout method for Windows Phone app developers. Now, in an official blog post, Microsoft has revealed that developers using the Microsoft Advertising SDK for ad revenue through their Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone apps can now have their payments sent directly to their PayPal account. Here’s what Microsoft had to say about it:

“Good news, we’ve heard your feedback and are excited to announce that Microsoft Advertising now supports PayPal payout for developers.  This means that, in many countries, developers using the Microsoft Advertising SDK to monetize their Windows and Windows Phone apps can now choose to have their payment for ad revenue sent directly to their PayPal account.  This includes existing developers.  Switching to PayPal is easy and has no impact on payouts or payment history.”

To add your PayPal account in pubCenter, click on the ‘Manage Account’ icon on the left side of the screen, then click ‘Create payment method’ next to the ‘Payment Details’ heading. Under ‘Choose a payment method’ option, select PayPal. App developers can now enjoy having their earnings sent directly to PayPal!
