Dead Rising 4 Xbox One bundle now available for pre-order at Microsoft Store

Dead Rising fans should be excited today. The next addition to the franchise, Dead Rising 4, is officially available for pre-order for Xbox One.

The holiday season is about to heat up in the setting of Willamette, Colorado. A mysterious event has occurred and the once friendly Willamette Memorial Megaplex Mall filled with shoppers is now a cesspit of corpses clamoring for their next meal. Gameplay leans towards a more open world experience as the ever popular protagonist Frank West stomps his way through the zombie outbreak and uncovers the truth.

The full product description reads:

Dead Rising 4 marks the return of photojournalist Frank West in an all-new chapter of one of the most popular zombie game franchises of all time. All of the classic hallmarks of the groundbreaking series return, including a huge array of weapons and vehicles players can combine to combat the horde ranging from the practical – to the practically insane. Players will also enjoy ambitious new features including new zombie classes, EXO Suits, and 4-player co-op multiplayer. With intense action and an unmatched level of weapon and character customization, Dead Rising 4 delivers a heart-pounding experience as players explore, scavenge and fight to survive in an epic open world sandbox.

Although it is coming for both Windows 10 and Xbox One, this title is not one of the many upcoming Xbox Play Anywhere titles, as of yet. A copy will need to be purchased for one or both of the platforms. It's also worth noting that Dead Rising 4 will be launched exclusively for Microsoft platforms. Xbox officials made a statement saying that Capcom may eventually decide to release the game on other platforms further down the line.

Fight the infectious zombies until your heart's content, starting on December 6, 2016 and throughout the winter holidays. Pre-order today to receive an X-Fists DLC for the Exo Suit that lets you smash your way through the undead horde.
